Oceanic Preservation Society (OPS) is a non-profit that creates film, photography and media, inspiring people to save the oceans. Their first film The Cove is the most winning documentary of all time and won the Academy Award for best documentary in 2010. Leilani sits on the board of OPS and is featured in their second documentary Racing Extinction which was released in 2015. Leilani is on the Board of Oceanic Preservation Society.
Ric O'Barry's Dolphin Project was founded on Earth Day, April 22, 1970 by world renowned dolphin activist Ric O'Barry, star of the documentary The Cove, Dolphin Project is a non-profit charitable organization, dedicated to the welfare and protection of dolphins worldwide. After seeing The Cove, Leilani became a volunteer for Dolphin Project and has made three trips to Taiji, Japan to document and raise awareness about the dolphin slaughter. Leilani is now an Ambassador for Ric O'Barry's Dolphin Project.

A Well-Fed World is Leilani's partner in her 2017 Vegan Powered campaign at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway.

Bob Weir - Bob Weir is a legendary singer and guitar player and a founding member of The Grateful Dead. He was 16 years old when he and Jerry Garcia met and began to play music together. Bob is considered one of rock's finest and most distinctive rhythm guitarists. His life was documented in the 2014 documentary "The Other One: The Long Strange Trip of Bob Weir." Beyond his musical contributions to the world, Bob is also an activist for the environment. Bob is Leilani's brother-in-law, he married Leilani's older sister Natascha in 1999.
Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) - In 1998, Leonardo DiCaprio established his foundation with the mission of protecting the world’s last wild places. LDF implements solutions that help restore balance to threatened ecosystems, ensuring the long-term health and well-being of all Earth’s inhabitants. Through grantmaking, public campaigns and media initiatives, LDF brings attention and needed funding to four focus areas—protecting biodiversity, oceans conservation, wildlands conservation, and climate change.
